Safety Rules

A SIGNED LIABILITY WAIVER MUST BE ON FILE FOR EVERY STUDENT/HOST BEFORE INSTRUCTION BEGINS.

     1.   Customers must follow wrangler's directions at all times
     2.      Customers may approach/touch the horse only with permission and       under supervision.
     3.       Students must wear heeled boots and long pants during lessons.
     4.      Customers must wear an ASTM approved/SEI certified helmet when mounting, riding, and dismounting.
     5.      Anyone interacting with the horse must leave their cell phone OFF.
     6.       Hand-feeding of horse is not allowed.
     7.   The weight limit for riders is 240 lbs. This is for the health of the      horse and  safety of  the rider.      
     8.   The wrangler must use her discretion when determining whether a customer is within the weight limit and physically capable of riding.
     9.   Customers not able to reach the stirrups may require a sidewalker. Parents may serve as sidewalkers if they are wearing closed-toe shoes.
     10. Only one person at a time may sit in the saddle
     11.  Non-flash photos may be taken from a distance of at least 10 feet.
     12. All domestic animals must be kept at least 50 feet from the horse.
     13. The horse cannot walk on a lawn that has been treated with any chemicals in  the past week.
     14. The farm speed limit is 9.5 mph. Please take this seriously. Anyone who doesn't will have farm privileges revoked!
     15. All lessons take place in the round pen or arena.
